The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. The reception was almost never occupied, and the person on the indicated phone number did not speak English. So checking in and paying was a bit tricky. Internet is a bit slow for working, but OK. Also, mind that you may need to bring your own shampoo, soap, and hair dryer.

"The apartment is spotless and incredibly well-kept. The bedroom and bathroom are huge—honestly, it’s one of the most spacious bathrooms I’ve ever seen, and the hydromassage tub was a fantastic bonus! It would be perfect for families . The host is absolutely amazing; he went above and beyond by storing our luggage and even driving us to the city center. He was so helpful with everything."

Rugged floors looked not too clean, there were a few hairs on the bed (which I don't care too much but could be an issue for some others)

"Zara Village exceeded our expectations! The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to access Lokobe, they even organised our guide. Our favourite was having cocktails by the infinity pool. This was definitely a highlight of our trip."

No shampoo available and i wasnt aware of same before booking else would have brought mine. Towels stayed wet and had to use same both for shower and pool. Amenities should be provided to allow for wet clothes and towels to dry, like a drying line in the bathroom.

"It was very uncomplicated to get the keys. Plenty of parking nearby. The bathroom was spacious, the location was clean. The building has old roots and the main building was a makeshift hospital during the Battle of Waterloo, which added to the charm."
