Als ik persé iets zou moeten noemen, is het het ontbreken van een kraan en wasbak in het keukenblok. Creatief met afwassen, door vullen van de aanwezige teil met de waterkoker, die je in de badkamer met een kommetje moet vullen, omdat hij niet onder de kraan past 😁 Maar goed, ik vond het zelf gewoon prima zo.

The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. Painavien matkatavaroiden rahtaus kapeissa portaissa yläkertaan vaivalloista. Suihkussa ei laskutilaa pesuvälineille. Amme ei hyvä suihkualusta. Sisäänkäynnin sähköinen lukko piti meteliä, kun sitä käytti. Pysäköinti pihaan jyrkkää mäkeä pitkin.

Ce sont des personnes accueillantes, généreuses et authentiques, toujours prêtes à partager leur culture, les lieux à découvrir et la gastronomie locale. Not really any downside about the accommodation. A car is needed as you cant really walk from there into town, but there is on-site parking and taxi services.

Dumbea sur Mer is basically a boring suburb of McMansion houses and a shopping mall.

"Beautiful villa on countryside. Jerry is excellent host he is very generous and try to help with all guest needs. Not to forget co-host Sam he can bring you from the airport and take you anywhere around the island. Excellent service. House is well equipped and has it all. Room was specious and modern. Separate room where you can wash your clothes. About 25 mins walk to Dickenson bay/beach and 10 mins walk to closest supermarket. Highly recommended to stay especially for solo travelers"

"The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was truly excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made everything so convenient. We also loved the swing and theres free horse riding experience provided. it was such a unique and enjoyable touch."

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.

We were just abit surprised in the beginning that it was a shared house....so maybe just a clearer description online

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

"Stayed here whilst on a cycle tour in the region, on advice of a friend who lives in Bangkok and had stayed here previously. I was not disappointed. Absolutely charming traditional property on the river and run by a couple that clearly take pride in providing hospitality. I loved it here. Having stayed in everything from backpacker places to 5* hotels, this stay will be remembered fondly for a long time. An excellent evening meal was also provided at a fair price (I gave advance warning I'd need to eat when I booked). Highly recommended."
