"I stayed with two friends for two nights, but originally had only planned to stay one night. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and flexible in extending my stay. The breakfast had lots of fresh fruit and it was not problem to have it at 5 am as we had to leave early. I think it is great value for money in Musanze!"

The bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower wasn't working properly when we arrived, but that was fixed quickly after we raised it with the staff.

"Everything was amazing, from each and every point of view. It's the type of accommodation you'd chose again and again. Josie is the best host someone could ask for - she is very attentive to the guests and always prepared to help or to recommend places for maximising the experience of tourists. The place overall and the room were not only super clean and comfortable (I literally slept like a baby, haha), but equipped with all the necessary things for a great stay. "The location is wonderful! The beautiful house where we rented a unit is right on the lake. The house is well-kept and beautiful. The weather was cold and a little foggy, which added to the atmosphere. In the summer, the residents walk 20 meters and are already in the lake, which invites swimming. The unit we got itself was quite small but sufficient. The breakfast was good. We stayed one night, but we would definitely go back there for a longer stay."

"This is my favourite place to stay in Asuncion. I have stayed here 4 times now and the hosts have become my friends. They have looked after me well when I was alone in a strange new land. The new renovations are wonderful too and the breakfast menu is delicious. The proximity to Shopping Mall Multiplaza is always a massive convenience too-literally across the road."

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

The shower is open, so the bathroom gets wet every time you shower.

"There was much to like about our stay - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The location - a short drive from the main Belle Mare beach and not too far from the main regional hub of Flacq (with its twice weekly market and also Super-U for those who prefer more modern facilities) - was good and the walk from the accommodation to the dining area through an abundance of local floral was a delight. But biggest praise must go to owners Roshan and Sang (and their son Kite) who were so warm and welcoming - they made each guest feel like a VIP, nothing was too much trouble for them and the food (breakfast and dinner) freshly prepared by Sang each day was varied but always delicious. We had a wonderful stay with no complaints whatsoever. Well, actually, just one - we never did get to see Roshan feeding the Dodo."

It would have been great to have had a fridge in the room
