"The place is right in the middle of town, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but keep in mind Cairo is a very old city, so don’t expect anything super modern. If you love walking like I do, you won’t miss much at all. Overall, definitely worth the money."

"This is a comfortable hotel for a night or two. It's right in the centre of Cairo so it's very convenient, but despite its location, it's surprisingly quiet and we slept well. The free breakfast is ok (we had a lot better in other hotels), the staff are friendly and helpful and the wifi is good."

"Amir Palace Hotel is located in a working-class neighborhood near the station. I’m the side streets there are all kind of small shops and market stalls. The staff of the hotel do not speak English very well, but they are friendly and helpful. They arranged for me to travel to Abydos by taxi and with a translator to visit the famous Temple of king Seti I and the 5,000 year old enclosure of king Khasekhemwy."
