"The location of the house is amazing, located in very quite surrounding with view overlooking lake. House is well equipped and very comfortable. On top of that there is Jacuzzi outside. Highly recommended !"

"This is an absolute gem - it’s not just a cabin, it is your home away from home :-) - stunning location (we were here in winter) - away from the tourism hussle - great to explore southern parts of the westfjords and Pingvellir - hot tub with mountain (and Aurora) view - perfectly equipped kitchen with all you need for 6 persons - very clean and tidy - very comfortable beds - washing machine/ dryer - very helpful and warm communication with the owner, always available and of help - perfect place to calm down We want to say thank you that Skúli and his family rent out this amazing place which created memories for life for us and the children. We enjoyed every minute! It is not cheap, but worth every penny! We can only recommend from the bottom of our hearts 😊"

"Seriously nothing! Only be aware that in winter time with snow and ice, a 4x4 vehicle is necessary to get there for the last 2-3km"

"Accomodation was amazing. It's a very cosy and clean room. You can see the owners payed attention to the details. The owners were also very friendly. I would reccomend this place to everyone."

"The Lodge was super warm and cosy, views wonderful and had everything you require for a short stay. Highly recommend. The instructions provided super easy to follow and answered any questions promptly. Would definitely stay again."

"On first arrival due to heavy snow we had to use the snow shovel to gain access to the pathway, decking and doors into the property. It was clear the property hadn't been visited in a couple days so the owner wouldn't have been aware. Just a physically demanding hour."
