"It was so spacious, nicely decorated, big comfy bed , beautiful view from the property, lovely big decking area , all the properties were well positioned so they had complete privacy and spaced well apart . The outdoor shower was amazing, nicely decorated flow of water just perfect . Free WiFi in the room , loved they there was not a TV , as the views and Tranquility is what you come for , The staff made you feel as part of the family , taking care of any need you may have , Raymond organised and recommended must see places to visit and see in the Island , and it was always good to see Raymond with his big smile . The food was cooked fresh everyday , and very tasty . True paradise."

"The location and setting is beautiful, just like out of a postcard. Bure was spacious and just as pictured, and the resort is small (just three bures) so plenty of space in the communal areas. Lunch and dinner options were delicious especially the fresh fish. But what made my stay super special were the ladies at Coconut Grove who were so friendly, helpful and sweet during my stay! Also WiFi was brilliant - reliable and fast."

"Location was super convenient for the airport but not so close to much else (but that is like all places in Taveuni). The staff were great at accommodating for allergies for lunch and dinner, but there were fewer options for breakfast (dairy allergy)."

"If you’re looking for a homestay experience, this is the perfect spot. We had a wonderful stay with Sarah and her family. They have a lovely home and we were made to feel so welcome. We enjoyed delicious Fijian dinners and were close by to beautiful beaches for snorkelling during the day. They had fantastic recommendations for things to do on the island. Along with fresh fruits, they had an aloe vera plant out back which proved to be an essential remedy for our days spent out in the Taveuni sun. For any Aussies thinking about booking - Sarah would love some more Vegemite please!"

"Cute cottage, spacious, well equipped, very comfortable beds, quiet. Views of the ocean. Vinna and Robert were wonderful hosts, warm hospitality, so helpful. Vinna has an organic fruit and veg stall at front of property, and makes fabulous smoothies, and offers delicious home cooked Fijian dishes. Robert gave us a lifts around, and took us to the waterfalls (wonderful) and he offers boat trips too."

"I loved the friendly welcome I got from Vinna and Robert and helpful advice regarding tours, local busses etc during my stay. The homestay was spotless, with freshly painted rooms and new tiles in toilet and shower. My bed was large, with spotless linen, comfy pillows and mattress, and decorated with a welcome floral bouquet - a lovely gesture. The kitchen was spacious, with many food items such as spices and sauces supplied for my consumption. Air conditioner was quiet and efficient, and the locality was only a few minutes walk to the beach, supermarket and airport. A fresh food stall was at the front of the block serving delicious smoothies etc. Being beside the airport runway wasn't a problem as no night time operations occur at Matei and no jet aircraft land there."

"Guests should be aware that there is no hot water for showers & kitchen (water temperature was fine for my use). Also, no light is fitted above the verandah vanity basin (I had the place to myself and used the kitchen sink for contact lens cleaning etc)."
