"Excellent location in the old fisherman village, beautiful surroundings and good cafeteria nearby. Nice and clean apartment with big windows showing to the Douro river."
"Very steep and narrow stairs, and lots of them to get to the sleeping area. Not good if you have any problems on knees or so. The road to the apartment is so narrow that car/taxis can’t drive there, so need to walk the steep hill everytime you go there."
"Very nice decoration, magnificent view, available and attentive host. The flat is very clean, the cleaning lady is very nice, very well equipped and with great details for the guest (coffee machine, maps, information, bicycles, etc.). Beds, towels and bed linen were great."
"Not suitable for small children or the elderly. It is located on a hill and is not accessible by car. The interior of the flat is spread over four (4) levels with 35 VERY steep and narrow steps. Not comfortable or suitable for small children. The entrance to the flat is not a normal door but a grille which makes the downstairs room very cold. In our stay of 4 days despite the host giving us a radiator, it never got above 15 degrees."

"No tiene acceso directo al apartamento con el coche porque la calle es muy estrecha. Hay una subida muy empinada que se hace difícil si vas con todas las maletas. El apartamento tiene muchas escaleras empinadas. Aún así fuimos con niños pequeños y nos las arreglamos. La verdad es que las vistas compensan mucho la dificultad de acceso y las escaleras."

"Die Einrichtung und der Ausblick von der Terrasse sind traumhaft, die Lage im eher untouristischen Viertel ist sehr nett. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen."
"Uns hat es nicht gestört, aber man sollte doch wissen, dass die letzten 200 m zum Apartment zu Fuß gelaufen bzw. gestiegen werden müssen, die Gasse ist einfach zu schmal und super steil. Mit schweren Taschen/Koffern eine Herausforderung. In der Wohnung müssen für jeden Zimmerwechsel sehr steile, schmale Treppen z.T. Ohne Geländer bewältigt werden, was weder für kleine Kinder noch für ältere Menschen optimal ist. Sieht allerdings sehr cool aus!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house! The place is spacious, comfortable and has a beautiful garden where we enjoyed relaxing. The location is perfect – close to Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais, which made it easy for us to explore the area. The house is well-equipped and ideal for both families and groups of friends. "The Receptionist was welcoming but I only met her once during our 9 day stay. The restaurant was top class, food and staff amazing. The room was spotless but very out dated. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower and was a good size. The location was bang in the middle of Alvor and the cost was very economical."
