"Quiet and relatively secluded location and yet so close to the beach and only a short cycle ride or drive to shops / bars / restaurants etc. Luxurious and spacious accommodation. Local area had a lot to offer too. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating as we were delayed in arrival vs prior arrangement."

"Beautifully decorated room with a very comfortable bed giving Bali vibes. The property is a stone’s throw away from what is almost a private beach. Perfect place to relax and unwind. We were also able to charge our EV vehicle overnight."
"The room is under a deck of sorts and the walls are panelled wood. With changes in temperature, the wood expands and contracts with sharp ‘cracks’. Cannot be helped, I suppose and we didn’t mind."

"2 minutes to the beach with a private outdoor sitting area too. It was perfect for the couple of days relaxation that we needed after a busy week of travel. The nearby village was good for a supermarket and dining out. Lovely welcoming hosts - Julie anticipated our every need. She takes great pride in what she does and it shows."

"Absolutely beautiful lil unit Spotlessly clean the shower is awesome and the bed is so comfortable surrounded by lovely garden setting that walks you out towards the beach 3min.Coffee/Tea facilities -Excellent food in the lil Bowentown Thank you Julie and Cam for being such happy welcoming hosts you made our stay all the more a happy memory ♥️ Highly recommend"

Our room looked out onto a lovely green garden and it was exceptionally quiet. It is conveniently situated close to the beach"

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
