"Our stay at Heimbrygga was an absolute delight, a place truly brimming with both stories and an undeniable charm. It possesses the authentic soul of an old establishment, yet is remarkably well-kept. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the bathrooms and rooms felt as though they had just been thoughtfully refurbished. The common room, with its inviting sofa positioned to overlook the bustling harbour through a large window, proved to be a particularly wonderful space, filled with intriguing trinkets that collectively create a truly unique ambiance. Being there during the off-season meant we had the entire place to ourselves, an experience we thoroughly cherished. We loved every moment and genuinely wished we could have extended our stay."

"There was a lively football game being enjoyed downstairs until past 1 AM. The very next morning, at 8 o'clock, a crew with an industrial pressure washer began cleaning the roof directly above our window. We understood, however, that local football celebrations of such importance are rare, and the owner later explained this was the first time the roof had been cleaned since they acquired the building. Most importantly, she was incredibly kind and apologetic about the disturbances, even offering us a complimentary night. This thoughtful gesture truly underscores the exceptional nature of this place; minor inconveniences can occur anywhere, but it's clear the staff and owners are dedicated to ensuring their guests are well cared for. We loved every moment and genuinely wished we could have extended our stay. Maybe we will be back one day."

"The rooms are very small with bunk-beds, but shared bathrooms and shared living area was excellent. Has fully equipped kitchen. We stayed for one night, so it worked very well for us. I wouldn't book it if I had to stay for a week."

"Lovely host who was attentive and very helpful regarding the ferry, buses, things to do etc. Perfect location, 10 second walk to the ferry. Lovely building with character. Good rooms, comfy bed and all impeccably clean. The free washing machine is a bonus. Great lounge room to watch the ferry come in. Skrova is a much better option than the mainland. A small quaint village with a beach and mountain to climb."

"The noise as noted by many others is a big problem. On Friday people were drinking in the restaurant/bar until after 2 am. All the noise penetrates the bedrooms and it's impossible to sleep. On the Saturday it was worse with music added. It's incongruous having the equivalent of a nightclub on this small island with it's authentic original housing. The point is to get away from the bustle and noise of the mainland. But I guess it makes money. Regardless, if the Heimbrygga wants to combine a bar/restaurant with accommodation, it needs to shut down the noise at an appropriate hour. 2 or 3 am is ridiculous. If nothing changes and you want to sleep, go elsewhere."
