"We had an amazing stay at Escapes Residence in Cape Maclear. The breathtaking views, modern amenities, and exceptional staff exceeded our expectations. Even though the host was not physically present, his constant online communication ensured everything ran smoothly. A truly stunning experience. We absolutely loved it!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Kara O’Mula. We only stayed for one night, but wish it could have been longer. The location is great (just ensure you follow the sign on the road and not google maps, which took us on a very bad dirt road). The staff were so friendly, and even allowed us to eat breakfast late when we came back from our hike. The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning was a life saver. The food was great too! Would highly recommend."

"Great place. Both bedrooms have double beds, side tables, cupboards and airconditioning. The kitchen is well appointed and the host kindly included tea, coffee, a bottle of water and milk. The shower had consistently hot water. The location is well centralised and just a short drive from a grocery store. You can also walk there but will need to cross a busy road. The area is residential and felt very safe."

"This is a really great lodge that is in a fantastic location for Liwonde National Park. The room overlooked the river and the restaurant provided really tasty food. We took a boat trip and were rewarded with seeing elephants playing in the water."

"Quiet, in a beautiful garden, directly at the lake! Just beautiful. We had a large and comfortable bungalow, fridge, tee maker, all good ! Staff very kind! The restaurant was also great!"

"Wonderful staff; onsite restaurant including with a wide choice on menu, reasonably priced if using the unofficial exchange rate. My room was situated by the lake edge and was such a wonderful experience listening just to the waves crushing in the night and awaking to a wonderful sunrise. Truly bliss. Thought powered by solar, my shower was reasonably hot and lighting though dim was constant. I still recommend taking a torch for the sometimes power cuts. Be sure to arrange a boat trip….. you won’t regret it. Eagle bird, cliff jumping and snorkelling. One might even be able to visit the Rastafarian community near by."
