"The riad is very beautiful. The staff were very helpful - we arrived early and they had a room ready for us, which was great. We hung out by the pool on the roof terrace for much of the day. The room was very comfortable. We stayed in for supper and the food was very good. Its location near the edge of the medina was a bonus."

"Dar Shaam is a traditional Riad style property in the heart of the Medina. Accessible via a narrow pedestrian street no more than 20 metres from the main road. A well maintained property, with pleasant well equipped rooms in traditional decor, on the floors accessible by lift or stairs. Breakfast good with self service and options for freshly cooked omelette etc available . The receptionists were very knowledgeable and helpful. All spoke English, French and other languages. A variety of shops and restaurants close by I would completely recommend Dar Shaam to any traveller who particularly would like to stay in the heart of a bustling local community."

"Beautiful Riad which was easy to find with the instructions. Taxi drops you at a point called 'Arivee Dar Shaan' on google maps and you walk down to the door. Property had great design and historic feel, room was big with an excellent bathroom and shower. The staff were all amazing, so friendly and helpful, getting us teas and coffees when we needed. Breakfast was delicious - tried some Moroccan breads which I got addicted to by the end. Great value and a memorable stay."

"Wonderfull location! Beautifull gorge with river and palm trees in the middle of the desert. And the people were very kind! We stayed in de rustic little building with paintings on the walls and doors. At night there is no electricity, so they light a fire and use candles."
