Pub Ceylon Hostel

"We were lucky to book the hostel after a last minute cancellation by the hotel we had had booked. The hostel provided a private room with ensuite. It was basic but very comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Located right in the heart of Ella, the location would suit many, however, our room was directly opposite a nightclub that had music playing until late, this could impact you if you of you are a light sleeper."

"We had a whole upstairs area with a dining area and balcony all to ourselves cos we had booked two rooms. The pool was great and we were often the in,y people there. The location was great and we could get take away beer from the funny pub just under the building."

"The only issue was there was a heap of construction going on at the front of the building but it never kept us up, just was unexpected. We weren’t sure it was even the right place at first. However I’m sure they are doing it to make improvements and so it needs to be done. There was no pub or food to be had, but plenty all around cos the location is great so no stress. Good value for money!"

"The staff were all very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good and half board was exceptionally good value for money, their curries are delicious."

"Clean rooms with good wifi, great location right in the center. Friendly staff and we had the opportunity to leave our backpacks for a bit so wile could visit a place before checking out."

"I like the location its in the city center and walking distance to train station. Convenient to store, restaurants and transportation. Good service and friendly staff. I recomend the place for stay."

"We ordered half board and got breakfast (very nice, by choice American or Sri Lankan) but dinner was in their restaurant just with the discount 2000rup/ person. We weren't expecting that, they told us during the dinner."
