"Komorebi was so spacious. It was really comfortable, having 2 sofas for our family of 4. It was exceptionally clean, a lovely bathroom with very powerful shower. We were particularly grateful for the house having both a washing machine and tumble drier. Kitchen facilities were adequate & had a good size fridge and freezer. The tatami mats in the 2 bedrooms made it a truly Japanese experience. It was also wonderful to be able to sit out in the small garden area in the cooler evening. If you stay here, you have to go to the local onsen - this was a highlight of our trip. Takayama as a town is well worth a visit & our stay in Komorebi was truly memorable."
"It was a bit of a walk from the station, hard work with 4 cases over some treacherous ground, but so worth the walk. We felt it was far enough out of town that you got a true experience of a Japanese home, but it was close enough to go out for a meal."
"Very comfortable self-contained house with lots of natural light, tucked away at the corner for lots of privacy even if all the blinds are up, as we like them to be so we can allow maximum amount of light to come through. It’s very quiet yet it’s walkable to all the places of interests."
"The property is located on a rather steep uphill slope and the access to the property is through some broken paths, rather hidden away on more inclined slopes. Parking facilities is about 5 mins walk down the hill so it’s a hassle to be walking up and down everyday. If you have heavy luggages, it can also be a challenge to access. And we had to work around the weather too. We arrived at night so we took quite a while to eventually locate the house. We tried to drive our car to the house to unload and load although the steep slope and very narrow maneuvering becomes rather challenging for most drivers who are not used to driving in tight spaces."
"Fantastic traditional style Japanese home with all the modern amenities. Our favorite stay in all of Japan for a great price! Just enough outside the main drag to still be easily walkable, but in a VERY local village. Just perfect."
