Located just 500 metres from Jaisalmer Fort and 1 km Gadisar Lake, Ratan Hostel offers simply furnished rooms and an on-site gostilna, which serves vegetarian Indian dishes. Rooms with tiled flooring are cooled with a fan and come with en suite bathroom with hot/cold shower facilities. Select rooms offer air conditioning. "Le propriétaire possède 2 établissements à Jaisalmer : le Ratan et le Renuka, situés à une cinquantaine de mètres l’un de l’autre, même rue. J’ai eu la chance d’être « upgradée » au Renaka Hôtel. Au cœur de Gandhi chowk, j’ai été accueillie très chaleureusement. Propreté irréprochable, tranquillité et une vue magnifique, depuis le roof top où le restaurant est installé. Son chef , aux petits soins, vous prépare, quelque soit l’heure, d’excellents repas."

"I tried a hostel for the first time and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. I went in a little sceptical, but a close friend strongly recommended this place—and it completely lived up to (and surpassed) my expectations. The property itself is stunning, perfectly located (a walkable radius from most important landmarks), with a rooftop view that’s hard to beat. But what really made the experience was the vibe—there’s such a natural sense of community here that just pulls you in. What I loved and will miss the most were the owners and staff, who are easily some of the warmest, most genuine people I met on this trip. Somehow managed to feel like I’d known them for ages by the time I left. Left with a full heart and would 100% want to stay here again."

"The owner was the nicest man! He was so helpful to us, he let us check in early after a night train and use the room free of charge for a shower after our desert safari even though we had checked out. His hospitality was amazing! We also booked the desert safari tour through this hostel and I could not recommend that enough. The room was clean, comfy with good air con and a warm shower. Also a very central location. But what really makes this guest house stand out is the family who run it. Thank you so much!"
