"It was an interesting building and the information provided was good. Care had been taken to make it easy to recycle all materials and there were chickens in the garden. We had the whole building to ourselves as we were the only guests and used the self check in as reception closed at midday on our Sunday arrival day. The breakfast was good- a great touch to have a crèpe machine and ready mixed batter. Staff that appeared on Monday morning were very pleasant."

"The outside was shabby and in need of a fair amount of TLC. If I was passing by I would not have chosen to stay there which would have been a pity! There was no lift and the triple room for us and our granddaughter was on the second floor with two double flights of stairs. Fortunately although 80+ we are pretty agile!"

"We had a disabled room it was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent plenty of rails and a seat if needed."

"Our bathroom was a little tired…a few mould stains and some enamel missing from the bath , but it was clean and the water was hot. The beds were v comfy and the room easily heated ( autumn) . Lots of local info which was good and interesting. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We loved the visiting cat!"

"The property had a lovely, welcoming feeling and the staff were really lovely and friendly. They even had a friendly cat who welcomed us to the hotel, making it feel like a home from home! The hotel felt quite spacious and comfortable."

"The only negative was the stair gate in our family room (with mezzanine). Whilst it was needed as our toddler is quite the explorer - our 1 year old was able to navigate it quite easily as it wasn’t very robust. We were only there one night so it wasn’t an issue. The older children loved the mezzanine and sleeping arrangements!"

"Nice breakfast and we liked the location near the good (albeit Par 3 - There are also other good longer golf courses not that far away) golf course and supermarket. It is a 15 minute walk into the central square which is always worth it for the bars and restaurants. Plus, my Friends and I all agree that Bethune is one of the friendliest places in France!"

"Easy access, 50 mins inland from Calais, just off the autoroute and arriving after hours, self check in. Though we never saw any staff, the room was just perfect for myself, my son and cats. We were welcomed by the (I assume) house cat who stayed by our door throughout our visit. Would definitely stay there again."
