"Friendly owner, Marco, owns this obviously much lived in and loved ancient residence, with his pet companions. Interesting collection of ephemera, art & books and furnishings, amidst a deep rural setting. Good shower, comfortable bed, though your toilet is outside the bedroom. Outside space with table and chairs, should you want to eat/relax etc. with nature all around, inside and out. Extensive garden and an outdoor pool. Space to park a few vehicles. Generous tea and coffee facilities, with a fridge for own use. Note that due to vagaries of the listing system, the location isn't entirely accurate - actual address is W3W doubly fracture rides"
"No mention in the listing of the two dogs and two cats who live there. This is important info for people with relevant allergies. Cleanliness could be improved - more attention to detail needed. Not a dislike, but a friendly warning - these are French rural mountain roads, often single track, narrow and very winding. I wouldn't drive up in a large SUV!"

"Clean, well placed, with all amenities needed(including washing machine). We stayed there with our son and were able to hike in all directions. It is great there is a communal kitchen that allows to cook if one is up to it. The gite also serves breakfast which is locally sourced& prepared. It is at a fair price for the value received. Additionally the staff was super helpful in suggesting locations, routes, insided tips. Right across the road you can find a farm that sells cheese and a gite that serves drinks and food. If you are into slow traveling and would like to unwind— definitely choose Caldera! Thank you to the staff of “my cantal”"

"Although small the apartment had everything (except washing machine or oven, but as stated) and was both comfortable and convenient. Particularly neat sliding double door allowed to divide the main room into two bedrooms. I was a bit concerned the sofabed would not be great but it was excellent, very comfortable."
