"As research-focussed academics from the UK researching life in the Loire region, the house, with its location in a forested area in the country, the peace and privacy, served us very well. We were able to access the Canal d’Orléans nearby, as well as the Loire River itself, focussing on Sully-sur-Loire and its rich, magnificent chateau, within reasonable driving distance of the house. A drive on quiet roads along the Loire itself brought us to charming little towns and hamlets, many rich in medieval history and architecture. The house itself was well-located, clean and comfortable with 2 large bedrooms with ample space for our work desks as well as for self-catering and dining. Siting out to enjoy the sunset and sunrise, as well as observing the rich bird life around, were added bonuses. There was ample space for parking within the grounds."

"Spotlessly clean and comfortable and very reasonable rate. Hostess was very responsive and helpful. Just be aware the first bedroom and bath are up a set of stairs and the second bedroom is up another flight, as this is a tall narrow house. Located A few houses down from the main street with many shops, the Cathedral and the tourist office, with a good Laundromat across the street."

"The accommodation was lovely, the little touches of having the hammocks outside, games and information on local attractions was great. We also loved the Luca the peacock and the friendly chickens, most definitely our daughters highlight of our stay. The pool was a bonus as was Franck and his wife's pizza truck across the road at the lake, the pizzas were some of the best we've had."
