"2 lovely studio apartments, each with 2 double beds, very clean, very quiet, easy to park. We arrived very late at night and they left the gate open for us to park up and head into the house. Great response to emails. Would highly recommend."

"Wir haben das Zimmer sehr kurzfristig gebucht und wurden spät Abends herzlich willkommen geheißen. Über die Größe und das tolle Zimmer mit einer eingezogenen Etage waren wir sehr begeistert. Das Appartement ist gut eingerichtet und der Lebensmittelladen im Ort hat sogar am Sonntag geöffnet. Auch durften wir unser Auto im abgeschlossenen Innenhof parken. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die tollen Gastgeber."

"This house met our needs very well. We were five adults traveling together. The 3 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and the living space and kitchen downstairs were perfect for our needs. Plenty of parking space for the car. We stayed two nights, while visiting the D Day beaches. Although a little further away from things than I had envisioned it was a lovely base, very quiet and private. Host was very responsive and helpful with a few questions I had on arrival. All went very well."

"What a lovely cottage by the river. Iulia and Alastair have spent time to make such a lovely property and wonderful experience. They have thought of everything from an amazing bathroom with relaxing standalone bath, a cozy lounge with log burner to well stocked kitchen. The cottage is wonderfully eclectic with bedrooms on different levels that just add to the attraction. Iulia and Alastair were lovely hosts on site - they introduced us to their really friendly dog, Filou and a donkey, Rio (hand reared and incredibly friendly). We managed to go skiing at Cauterets which was great and reasonably close. We day tripped to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao which is worth the trip. Maison de la Riviere is well positioned for peace & tranquility on site with accessibility for the mountains and the sea....and we ate on the terrace in the sunshine (in February!). Huge thank you to Iulia and Alastair."
