Located in the city centre next to the small Suze canal and the pedestrianised shopping zone, the Mercure Biel gostilna is easily reachable on foot from the main station. The 3 lakes region (Lake of Biel, Lake of Murten and Lake of Neuenburg) with its countless vineyards is popular for cruises, bike tours and hiking holidays. Electric bikes can be rented at reception on request.

"The hotel was 15 minutes walk from the train station in a quiet area. The room was a good size and quiet. The beds were comfortable and extra pillows were provided. The selection of food and drink at breakfast was very good. It was fairly close to the shopping area and bars and restaurants."
"The shower screen over the bath was only half a metre wide and it was difficult to shower without getting water on the floor. There were no shelves or drawers to put your clothes in."
