"For the age of the hotel it was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. We were really impressed with the comfort of the bed and cleanliness. Staff were friendly and kind."
"Location was okay - good if you need the train station but a bit out of the action. Our bathroom had a slant in the roof meaning we had to duck down to shower, I did bump my head quite hard. Also the shower head is low so you need to hold it the whole time. Suitcase doesn’t have much space but I wouldn’t let these things stop me from staying again."

"The Hotel Scherer is in a quiet location, it was very clean throughout and the room and bed were very comfortable. The breakfasts offered a good selection of hot and cold foods and catered very well for a wide variety of tastes and preferences. The staff were always very helpful, friendly and considerate, and the table waiting team at breakfasts were very attentive. The hotel generally has a "traditional" feel to it, and they clearly set themselves high standards. It is within easy walking distance of the railway station, a flat walk of 5-10 minutes."
