There was no local stores near by, it can look a little remote especially at night.

There is only one power socket in the sleeping room, and it does not work (well) as the holes are too loose to uphold any charging device. A multi-socket cable connected to a repaired socket would be appreciated. In the kitchenette, there is some coffee and tea provided, much appreciated. Oddly, there is no sugar but salt. Sugar would be more useful than salt.

"Perfect location for visiting petra, the host is a very nice gentleman, he gave us a good tour through the apartment and explained everything necessary. It can be a bit cold in the winter but the portable heaters will make up for that. Its a large place."

"Very cozy place owned by an incredibly friendly and welcoming family. Breakfast was included in the price and it was always absolutely delicious — thanks to them, I had the chance to try several traditional Sri Lankan dishes I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Whenever I needed anything, they were quick to help and always took care of everything with a smile. Their hospitality truly made my stay feel special and comfortable. Thank you once again for such a warm and memorable experience!"

The place is located a bit farther from the main areas, so you’ll need to walk a few kilometers, take a tuk-tuk, or have your own vehicle. However, there is a small convenience shop right next to the accommodation, which is handy if you need anything. If you’re sensitive to noise at night, it might be an issue — though that’s quite common for most hostels and village houses in Sri Lanka.

"Apartment was clean and well equiped, lots of parking places near by and great bonus was the pool, especially for kids. The location is very quiet, and everything is easily accessible from it. I didn't not like anything, but a knife to cut things with would have been useful and maybe mugs for tea/coffee as there were only some small paper cups.

"We liked everything! This can not be described by words. One must come and see the exceptionally beautiful nature of Mariovo, this village Zovich and the nearby village Staravina. The accomodation offered everything we needed, the host Mitko, his wife and mother were very friendly and helpful, they make extraordinary food in their restaurant, all fresh and of high quality. "La ubicación . muy buena en un punto importante de la ciudad, cerca de la Estación de trenes y Plaza céntrica, y cerca de Varios Mercados de Multiventas. El Departamento con varios ambientes y camas, y todo muy limpio y con ropa de cama muy completa- Ducha Eléctrica y amplio baño, con Papel higiénico y jabón. La Cocina con artefactos electricos en perfectas condiciones, alacena con Vajilla completa, té y Azúcar. Ventanas sólidas y rejas, Ventilador y aire acondicionado en las habitaciones: Tv plasma de grandes dimensiones."

Sin quejas. Todo me pareció muy acorde a la relación Precio - Calidad.

There was no bed sheet for the second bed (sofa), and when we opened the sofa, there was sand from the previous visitors. The hosts reacted to our request and it was cleaned. Some other tiny issues - only 2 mugs in the cupboard (4 glasses), and the 3rd cup was found on the floor of shower room. We missed washing up liquid and kitchen towels too.

The single bed was not comfortable (on one side I was feeling that I was sinking). The A/C wasn't working because the remote control was missing. I contacted the host, he said that he will take care of it, but he did not. To be honest, it wasn't so hot and for most days I did not need the A/C. However, for the last few days of my stay I could really use the A/C, especially at night. The shared fridge could be cleaner. The bathroom did not have a window, it only had a kind of fan on the ceiling which did not work particularly well. As a result, some unpleasant odors persisted and the waters caused by showering could not evaporate very quickly.

"The accommodation is a little out of the way, but is an absolute winner in terms of price-performance ratio. There is nothing missing. About a 25 minute walk to a well-stocked supermarket and the top restaurant Papa Figo. To the beach, turn left and go straight on. There is also a bank branch with an ATM on the way."

"On arrival 'Grandad' greeted us with a smile and a cup of 'ginger tea' 😊 The location is peaceful and on the edge of the forest. Only 15mins walking to seven eleven, shops, etc. The room was comfy and clean. Good value too. Bed was super comfy soft to firm! Easy to safely store our bicycles 🚴🚴 A great place to visit and Grandad may also show you around his collection of antiques. HIGHLY recommended 👌"
